IF YOU MISS YOUR DELIVERY YOU CAN FIND AN EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT APC FOR REDELIVERY THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE TOO. OUR COURIERS WILL ATTEMPT TO DELIVER TWICE AND THEN THE PARCEL WILL BE KEPT AT THE LOCAL DEPOT AWAITING YOUR CONTACT BEFORE BEING RETURNED TO US. WE WILL REGRETTABLY HAVE TO CHARGE AGAIN FOR ANY RE-DELIVERY.
We offer a next day courier service (See notes below) as our principal means of delivery to mainland England, Wales and parts of Scotland. All other U.K and International addresses are served by Royal Mail. You will see this information when you place an order or use our Delivery Costs button when you create a basket. You can also find out the cost of your delivery with this tool prior to checking out. Courier items, Special Next Day Delivery, 1st and 2nd Class parcels are sent recorded delivery and will require a signature. If you are not in, the courier may try to call you if a contact number is provided, or you will be left a card to explain alternatives for re-delivery or collection from the local sorting office etc. If is not collected it will ultimately end up back with us, when we will be happy to attempt another delivery. However, this will regrettably incur the appropriate charge at cost of postage. If you would rather not have to sign for your parcel please state this on your order comments. Unfortunately, under these circumstances we cannot accept reponsibility for missing parcels but will make every effort to assist in any necessary claims.
We always endeavour to send your order the same day it is received, between Monday and Friday (approximately 2.30pm cut off). Orders placed between late Friday and Sunday afternoon will be despatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday. This applies to our Courier Service, Royal Mail Special Next Day and Parcelforce 24 only.
In using Royal Mail for our delivery service, we are bound by their conditions. For First and Second Class items, a period of fourteen working days must be allowed before making a claim for lost goods. This is 28 days for international packages. Special Next Day delivery can be dealt with immediately after failure of delivery.
On a positive note, our delivery companies very rarely lose our parcels! Admittedly, they can leave them in some strange places, plant pots, wheelie bins but by and large they almost always arrive!
Any returns made under the distance selling act (this excludes perishable items like tea and coffee) must be made by a similar signed for method at the customers expense.
