This is a delicate green tea grown in Yunnan, which is made from tender, spring tea buds. It has the same natural sweetness as Yin Zhen Silver Needle white tea but with a darker infusion and bolder, more complex aroma. In many ways it reminds me more of a Fujian white tea than a typical green tea. Green teas, of which there are thousands of varieties, are produced by many complex methods but are all firstly steamed to prevent the oxidation of the leaf which would turn the tea into "black" tea. Green tea is believed to have health benefits due to the high content of anti-oxidants. This sweetly perfumed tea is a welcome addition to our extensive range of white and green teas.
