This special quality tea is grown in the Taimu region of northern Fujian. During a two week period in late April the pluckers skillfully pluck a bud with a leaf or two on top. It is then carefully processed by hand according to traditional exquisite handicraft. This manual shaping gives the tea leaves an outstanding appearance like a monkey paw. The leaves are bent, stout with white tips all around. Its liquor looks light, clear and bright with a flavour that is mellow, fresh and so sweet. The fragrance is delicate and long lasting reminding me a little of honeydew melon.
