We offer a next day courier service (See notes below) as our principal means of delivery to mainland England, Wales and parts of Scotland, at a standard rate starting from £4.95. All other U.K and International addresses are served by Royal Mail. You will see this information when you place an order or use our Delivery Costs button when you create a basket. You can also find out the cost of your delivery with this tool prior to checking out using the Get a Quote feature. Courier items, Special Next Day Delivery, 1st and 2nd Class parcels are sent recorded delivery and will require a signature. If you are not in, the courier may try to call you if a contact number is provided, or you will be left a card to explain alternatives for re-delivery or collection from the local sorting office etc. If is not collected it will ultimately end up back with us, when we will be happy to attempt another delivery. However, this will regrettably incur the appropriate charge at cost of postage. If you would rather not have to sign for your parcel please state this on your order comments. Unfortunately, under these circumstances we cannot accept responsibility for missing parcels but will make every effort to assist in any necessary claims.
We always endeavour to send your order the same day it is received, between Monday and Friday (approximately 2.30pm cut off). Orders placed after 2.30pm approximately will be received on Monday and those placed between late Friday and Sunday afternoon will be despatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday. This applies to our Courier Service, Royal Mail Special Next Day and Parcelforce 24 only.
In using Royal Mail for our delivery service, we are bound by their conditions. For First and Second Class items, a period of fourteen working days must be allowed before making a claim for lost goods. This is 28 days for international packages. Special Next Day delivery can be dealt with immediately after failure of delivery.
Any returns made under the distance selling act (this excludes perishable items like tea and coffee) must be made by a similar signed for method at the customers expense.
Returns & Exchanges
In the interests of preserving hygiene we can only accept returns on non-perishable items such as accessories, tea caddies, tea infusers, teapots etc. If upon receipt you wish to return your goods, we ask that you notify us of your intention to return within 7 days of receiving your order, following which you have 30 days to send your items back to us.
When returning your items you will be responsible for all postage costs incurred. Once we have received your returned items, we will provide a refund direct to your account or can provide a credit note or an exchange. If you wish to exchange your items for another product then we are happy to, provided it is of an equal value.
As the majority of our products are perishable items (tea and coffee), we only use the highest quality airtight packaging to deliver your goods. All our deliveries are sealed in store and will arrive unopened and fresh, with an average 18 month shelf life.
